Carclips NZ opened for business in 2016.
The idea for a business providing a reliable and efficient supply of high quality automotive clips and fasteners to the industry germinated in the mind of its founder, a panelbeater who was constantly struggling to source them for his own stores.
A lot of time and effort spent contacting manufacturers, quality-checking, and establishing a stable supply chain, paid dividends and Carclips was born.
From small beginnings in Upper Hutt near Wellington, Carclips has continued to expand its range and its client base every year.
Gary and Katie Senior purchased Carclips NZ in 2018 and relocated it to Dunedin NZ.
In July 2021 Carclips NZ acquired Autoclips NZ, and re-branded as Aubit Ltd. This name change reflects a decision made to expand the automotive product-range offered to our valued customers. Customers can now also source quality auto bulbs, hose connectors and flexipads from Aubit.
Aubit Ltd introduced the Clip Station in 2020. This is a super-simple and brilliant way of ensuring that a panel business always has the clips and fasteners they need on hand.
The Clip Station is very user-friendly and allows for the instant location of clips when you need them, and a simple scan of the drawer code makes re-ordering, replenishment and invoicing a breeze. What's more, the Clip Station system enables panel businesses to invoice insurance companies for the exact amount of clips used, allowing full cost recovery for every job.
