About Us
Automotive Clip and Fastener Specialists
Clipstok is a specialist supplier of automotive clips, trim fasteners and panel retainers to the Australian trade.
We are not a general parts wholesaler with a fastener section. Clips and fasteners are the whole business. That focus is why we hold depth other suppliers don't — over 1,700 individual parts, with more than 650,000 fasteners on the shelf ready to dispatch.
Our customers are panel shops, smash repairers, mechanical workshops, auto electricians, auto parts stores, paint and panel resellers, and vehicle dismantlers across Australia.
FIT RIGHT – HOLD TIGHT
What We Supply
- Individual clips and fasteners — over 1,700 parts across push-in clips, screw clips, grommet clips, moulding clips, weatherstrip clips, Christmas tree clips, trim screws, speed clips, rivets, bolts and nuts
- Clip kits — make-specific, type-specific and model-specific kits that remove the need to know individual part numbers
- Clip Stations — fully stocked, colour-coded workshop cabinets in a range of sizes
- Auto bulbs — a full automotive bulb range
- Automotive hose connectors — straight, T and Y connectors from 3mm to 8mm
- Workshop gear — clip and rivet removal tools, Flexipads abrasives, backing pads and polishing pads
Parts can be found by vehicle make, by clip type, or by part number.
Are Clipstok Clips Genuine or Aftermarket?
Aftermarket. Every Clipstok fastener is an OEM equivalent — manufactured to original specification, not a genuine dealer part.
They are moulded from high grade nylon and sourced from established manufacturers in Europe and Taiwan. They are not comparable to the cheap plastic copies sold in bulk online. Every part is specified for professional repair work, where a clip that snaps on installation costs far more in labour than it ever saved in price.
Where Do Orders Ship From?
Australian orders are picked and dispatched from our Melbourne warehouse.
Order before 3pm and your parts go out the same day. Freight is free on Australian orders over $200 excluding GST.
Why Workshops Buy From Us
Range. Most suppliers carry a handful of common clips. We carry the long tail — the odd sizes and the one-off retainers that hold up a job when nobody else has them.
Availability. Stock sits in Melbourne, not on a container. What the site says is in stock is on the shelf.
Identification. Clips are hard to search for. Our site filters by hole size, head size, clip type and colour, and every listing carries fitment detail and OEM cross-references where we have them.
Trade pricing. All prices exclude GST. Trade accounts are available, and resellers are supported with wholesale pricing.
The Clip Station System
The Clip Station is a fully stocked, wall or bench-mounted cabinet that puts a workshop's most-used fasteners in one organised place.
Drawers are colour-coded by clip type and arranged by size, so the right part is found in seconds rather than dug out of a mixed box. Each drawer carries a QR code linking straight to the product page for reordering.
Cabinets range from 24 to 96 drawers, including a mechanical model stocked with hose connectors for servicing workshops and a prestige model for European vehicles. The cabinet itself is supplied free — you pay for the initial stock only.
The Virtual Van Programme
The Virtual Van replaces the traditional rep-with-a-van model.
Members get a trade account with access to the full fastener range, 10% off all fasteners, exclusive monthly member deals, personalised order sheets built around what the workshop actually uses, and a dedicated online ordering tool.
You order what you need, when you need it — without waiting for a van to turn up, and without a rep loading you up with stock you didn't ask for.
Our History
2016 — Founded as Car Clips. The business starts to solve a supply problem its founder kept running into: sourcing quality automotive clips reliably was harder than it should have been. Establishing direct manufacturer relationships and a stable supply chain took time, and became the foundation of the business.
2018 — New ownership. The business is acquired by its current owner.
2020 — The Clip Station System launches. Workshops get an organised, replenished fastener supply rather than a drawer of mixed clips.
2021 — Autoclips NZ acquired, company renamed Aubit Ltd. The range expands beyond clips to include auto bulbs, automotive hose connectors and Flexipads abrasives and polishing products. Car Clips remains the customer-facing name.
2026 — The business becomes Clipstok. A single brand now covers both the Australian and New Zealand operations.
If you knew us as Car Clips, Carclips, Autoclips or Aubit Ltd, you are in the right place. Same business, same team, same parts — one name.
Today Clipstok is the leading automotive fastener specialist in Australasia, under the same ownership since 2018.
